It's been a privilege to have known Eric since 1994. It was quickly evident that he was one of the 'good guys'. As one of the people you want on your team at work, he was loyal, supportive and professional and as a friend he was a kind, interesting and engaging man with a remarkable number of interests – all of which seemed to have others social well-being and prosperity at heart. His seemingly boundless energy and sense of fun was remarkable – who can forget his appearance as the legendary Cilla Black in a sketch at one of the Company conferences! (He got a “lorra, lorra” laughs!). Eric lived life to the full both at work and in 'retirement', and his unexpected loss must be unbearable to Judi and his family, as it is so deeply saddening to those of us who knew him. As a colleague and friend I will always remember him. Phill
