We first met Eric through parkrun from our volunteering with him on the finish line. Always calm and cool when things went a bit wrong. 
Pete Hough became chief funnel manager and they made an amazing team as runners staggered onto the finish line. Always supporting every runner until the tail runner came along. 
Eric will be sorely missed when parkrun returns.
