My thoughts are with all of Eric's family. I was a fellow lock Keeper with Eric at Grindley Brook Locks on the Llangollen Canal. Although I worked a different shift pattern to Eric we did occasionally get to meet up and when those meetings took place I very much enjoyed his company. When we eventually are able to get back to Lock Keeping I am sure that his presence will be sorely missed.
